When Janina Fry (creative designer, mum, and long-time lover of GLAS) moved from Finland to Stockholm, Sweden, she felt that starting something new at her age was intimidating.
However, through finding the courage to follow her own projects and passions, she found beauty in this time of self-discovery, and in embracing life’s many twists and challenges, she was able to see herself and the city she had visited many times before in new ways.

08:00 - How do you begin a perfect Sunday at home in the city?
I drink a glass of water with lemon in it, open the door and let a flow of fresh air in. I’ll take the dog and walk down to the pier where I dip in the sea. When I get back to the house we have a slow breakfast with the family at the table.
9:00 - If you're eating out, where are you headed for a Sunday breakfast?
I really enjoy Nybrogatan 38’s breakfast, another lovely place is Pom & Flora.
10:30 - Next stop - where do you go to take pictures for Instagram when you're in the city?
Stora Bageriet, Villa Dagmar, Strandvägen 1 and Restaurang Prinsens terrace, Stockholm City Hall’s courtyard, and Artillerigatan to mention a few.
12:00 - And what about a Sunday lunch?
I love Kale & Crave because everything is delicious and still super healthy. Östermalms Saluhall has many delicious lunch options too and Villa Dagmar is great, love the interior and vibe and so is Restaurang Artilleriet. There are so many good places in this town! Impossible to list them all but I made a list of them in my blog. Do remember to always make a booking so you don’t miss out.
14:00 - After lunch, where do you go in the city to unwind?
Well, a walk around Djurgården is always beautiful, and while you’re there you could visit Rosendals trädgård or some of the many museums on the island and enjoy award winning ice cream at Kenny’s Gelato on Djurgårdsstrand 15.
18:00 - Let's wrap up the day! Where can we find you when eating a sophisticated dinner?
I would say Brasserie Astoria for sure!
